Year 11 Leavers Assembly

The Year 11 leavers’ assembly will take place during lesson 4 tomorrow (Wednesday 12 June).

As there is a Science exam in the morning, students should wear school uniform as normal, and bring any equipment required for the exam. They can then leave school straight after the assembly (it should be finished between 12.30pm and 1.00pm) unless they study Geography, in which case they should stay in school for the exam preparation session in the afternoon (the Geography exam is on the Thursday morning). Lunch will be provided for Geography students.

For the leavers’ assembly, students should bring with them:

  • Prom money - tickets are £30 each but students can use their reward points against the ticket cost.
  • Locker key – the £5 deposit will only be returned if we have the spare key.
  • Any textbooks, revision guides, etc. that have been borrowed from school.

If students have their own textbooks, revision guides, etc. that they would like to donate to school for less fortunate students to use, these can be dropped off at Reception. Similarly, any unworn uniform or uniform in good condition can also be dropped off at Reception.

A reminder that GCSE results day is Thursday 22 August. Results will be available for collection by students only between 10.00am and 12.00noon.

If students are unable to collect their results themselves, they have a few options:

  • If students wish any other person (including family members) to collect results on their behalf, they must give their written authorisation to the Exams Officer before Results Day.
  • If students wish their results to be emailed to them, they must provide the Exams Officer with a signed letter containing their email details no later than the end of the summer term.
  • Candidates who can not collect their results on 22 August should leave a stamped, self-addressed envelope with the Exams Officer for their results to be sent home. Letters will be posted on 23 August and not before.

Members of UTC staff will be available on results day to provide post results advice.

Applications for our 6th Form are still open, please go here or contact our Admissions Officer for more information.

If you have any queries between now and results day, please do not hesitate to contact Mrs Poddington.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you, as parents and carers, for supporting your child through their exams. I wish all students every success for the future.

Yours sincerely,
