"A Christmas Carol" Performance at Rosehill Theatre

The English Department are delighted to announce the very exciting opportunity for your child to take part in the GCSE Theatre Trip to see an evening performance of ‘Mr Charles Dickens Presents A Christmas Carol’ at Rosehill Theatre, Whitehaven on Thursday 13th December at 7:30pm. As the trip is local we ask that students make their own way to Rosehill Theatre for 7:00pm and from the theatre at approximately 9:15pm so as to reduce the overall cost.

The trip will help the students to understand the key themes and concepts presented by Dickens within his classic tale ‘A Christmas Carol’. As the GCSE English Literature examination is ‘closed book’- meaning students are not allowed to have a copy of the novella in the exam- this will be an excellent opportunity for students to experience and remember the key events and quotes from the stage production.

The total cost for the show is £7.50. To guarentee a place on this trip, please hand in the slip from the letter you recieved and the money no later than friday, so tickets can be secured at the venue.

Places are limited so acceptance will be on a first come first serve basis.

If your child is entitled to free school meals and you require financial help to fund the trip then please do not hesitate to get in touch.

If you have any questions about the trip please contact school on 01900 606446.
