Poetry Revision 2018

As part of the English Literature GCSE course, students have recently been looking at the poetry section of the examination.

Poetry will feature on the second English Literature paper that students will sit and overall is worth 25% of their final GCSE grade for Literature

Here are some useful revision links and resources for the students as it really is crucial that they revise the content for literature outside of the classroom too. In the exam they are not allowed any of the texts studied; they therefore need to be as confident as possible with each poem as they need to remember quotes from memory.

Students have majorly looked at the race/discrimination/prejudice poems recently so these links are very useful to share to encourage students to reengage with the poems via the revision videos- especially in the run up to mock examinations (the first of which will be sat in November). Class PowerPoints are also avilable should students wish to look over them again for revision.

Poems studied so far are:

1. No Problem - Benjamin Zephaniah
