Fantastic A-Level Results!

The Energy Coast UTC students and staff are delighted with fantastic 2017 A-Level results.
 
The Energy Coast UTC is delighted to announce a fantastic set of results for Year 13 students this year, particularly in Engineering.
All students at the Energy Coast UTC study engineering. Every student who studied triple engineering achieved a triple distinction* (equivalent to three A* grades) with some talented students achieving 6 A level grades overall.
Almost every student has already secured a place either at university or on an apprenticeship programme with just a couple of students waiting to hear about apprenticeship placements. The UTC engineering results were in the top 10% nationally last year, and this year the results are even better.

Some notable successes are:
 
Stephen Gascoigne who achieved triple Distinction * in engineering (equivalent to 3 grade A*  A levels), distinction * in Business Studies (equivalent to 1 grade A*  A level), grade A in maths A level and Grade C in physics A level. This equals 6 A levels at high grades which is an absolutely incredible achievement.
Joshua Donald who achieved a triple distinction * in engineering (equivalent to 3 grade A*  A levels), a distinction * in Business Studies (equivalent to 1 grade A* A level), and a grade C in applied science A level. This equals 5 A levels, a wonderful achievement.
Chloe Kirkbride who achieved a double distinction * in engineering (equivalent to 2 grade A*   A levels), a merit in business studies (equivalent to a grade B at A level)  and a grade C in applied science A level. This is 4 A levels.
Rebecca Telford who achieved triple distinction* in engineering (equivalent to 3 grade A* A levels)
